OSAAT #67 - Things With Wings



Over at OSAAT we have a new challenge today which is to feature 'Things With Wings'. This can be birds, fairies butterflies or other insects, as long as they have wings they're in!!

We have a fabulous prize for one lucky winner which is a £10 gift voucher for Joanna Sheen.

In the spotlight this week is Jess from Floppy Latte Designs. She has some amazing images and gorgeous detailed silhouettes.

For my card I was able to work with a gorgeous image by Priyanka at Gillu's Gallery called Waiting For You part 2. I have to confess I am not usually a fairy person but this one is beautiful. I love how delicate the design is and that you can see part of the face in profile with the cute eyelashes.

I coloured the image with Promarkers in soft blues and greens as I wanted to keep it delicate. I have added Glamour Dust glitter to the wings for a bit of sparkle. The layout of the card is from a sketch at Tuesday Trio challenge.

Materials Used in this card are as follows:-
Card Size - 6" Square with scalloped edges
Papers - Up Up & Away collection by First Edition (Dovecraft)
Image - Waiting For You Part 2 - Gillu's Gallery
Tools - Nestabilities
Embellishments - Ribbon, lace, bakers twine, tag, pearls, gem, handmade flowers, glitter
Techniques - Distressing with scissors and ink pad
