Daisy Doodles #63 Independence

Over at Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges we have a new challenge today

Independence

We want to see anything which embodies Independence this week and for me the most important mark of my Independence was when I moved out from my parent’s home when I was 18 and started living with my hubby Paul. It turned out to be a grotty flat, with a leaky roof and an awful landlord but it was ours and we were so happy together. Our 1^st meal was a strawberry cheesecake eaten in the bath, just because we could J  very happy memories…..

Anyhoo, back to my card…. I coloured the image with Promarkers & Flexmarkers extending the image so create a slightly cloudy sky. I matted the image onto green spotty paper and some cream textured card. The card blank has some leafy paper from the Woodland Friends paper pack by Papermania and the punched border strip is also by them. The pennant banner I am really proud of as I hand cut the pieces from scrap cream card, punched the holes with my Cropodile and then added them to scrap green card cutting them and leaving a small border. I used a paper piercing tool to poke holes so I could thread some twine through. The black lettering is acetate stickers by Pebbles Inc and the circle sentiment is from Lets Make Cards. The green letting is from a Brenda Pinnick QVC kit.
