I am back with Choccy this week and she chose this cutey Daisy Mae from her Stitchiness Stitchy Stamps. I had bought a lovely new paper pad a few weeks ago and fell in love with this pretty patterned paper which has loads of glitter on it. This inspired me to colour her outfit to match. I cut the image out as I wanted to pose her sitting inside the frame of a die cut.

Having seen many cards with hexagon shapes I wanted to have a go with this paper as I thought it would look pretty with this quilt effect. I handcut each hexagon using a scrap paper template. Some are a bit higgledy piggledy, I’m calling it rustic charm ok? I used 2 sets of dies to cut the matted layers and mounted the image using 3d foam pads. The outside layer is a Nestabilities die and I added some faux stitches with a darker green Promarker as it needed some definition from the background. I thought it added something to the quilted effect too. The cream layer is a Marianne Creatibles die to which I added some Stickles glue. I am ashamed to admit it is the first time I have used either of these dies and I have had them for a very long time L

The pretty lacey trim is from Prima, it was VERY hard for me to cut into it as it is so pretty I don’t actually want to use it you know…… to finish it off I added some pretty Flora Doodles flowers with a gem encrusted centre. The sentiment is a rub on from Papermania which I have had in my stash for years and years.
