Birthdays at Christmas Time

For my project I have used the image from Ryan The Footballer. This fabulous pack has the image in 3 formats and 4 papers for only $3. This is superb value and a great combination for men’s cards.

This week we welcome Crafting Vicky onto our Design Team. I work alongside her on another team and she makes fabulous cards. I totally admire how she works full time, has 4 children and still manages to make so many cards. I am in complete awe of how she fits it all in !!

Anyhoo the theme of this challenge is quite dear to me as my Nephew has his birthday on Christmas Day. We all go to great lengths to make sure he has a birthday and a Christmas. The poor kids always get a rough deal if their birthdays are so close to Christmas.

This is the second card I have made with Ryan. I tend not to make so many men’s cards but it seems if you have a sports theme you are generally pretty safe and this is a great image to use as you can colour it up in a particular team’s colours.

I use shades of blue throughout and matched Ryan up with some papers from Papermania. I have used a sketch for the layout using scraps of card for the layers.  Keeping it clean for embellishments I’ve added some buttons that were recycled off an old shirt.
