A 'LOVE'ly RSVP

In a very rare move for me these days I have made a card with absolutely no digital elements !!!
One of Paul’s work colleagues is getting married and has invited us to the evening reception. He is a good friend of Paul’s so I decided to make him and Cathy a nice card for the RSVP.

Their invitation was a grungy Tim Holtz stylee printed postcard style and I was initially going to do something similar with some text paper with Love on it and then I spotted  a lovely sketch at Whimsical Designs and was tidying up my desk and found some felt stickers that have been there for far too long and this card just sort of made itself!

The heart paper is from a First Edition pad called J’adore. The textured red card has been cut into a heartshape using a Fiskars Shapecutter template. I used a Martha Stewart wide border bunch in the strips at the top and bottom, some fabulous ribbon from my stash and the felt word has been in my stash for about 4 years and was a bargain from a poundshop.

My hubby loved it, but more importantly Cathy and Paul were really touched with the personal approach. Of course I have now set the bar high for their wedding card haven’t I ?

We have just been invited to another wedding over the course of this weekend so I’d better get another card made as well….. Happy times J

Materials Used in this Project are as follows:-
Card size – A5
Paper – J’adore First Edition Pad
Tools – Fiskars Shapecutter template,  3d foam pads, small ink pad for distressing, Martha Stewart wide border punch
Embellishments – Laced edge ribbon, felt sentiment
Techniques – Punching & Distressing

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges (in Alphabetical Order):-

  9. Love your idea for this card. Very cute!
One little detail, you need to use a digi image/sentiment in your card to enter it in the CDAC "Seansonal Fun" challenges. Just remove it from there and enter in our CDAC "Anything goes" challenges.
Then you will be good to go. Thanks for sharing with us.
