Daisy Doodles #73

Over at Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges we have a new challenge today

Anything Goes

*********************************************

For my project I have used this gorgeous scene Christmas Window which you get in 3 formats. It is on sale at the moment for only $1. Go on and treat yourself, you know you want it J

Head over to the Daisy Doodles Store to check it out and all the other great digi’s that are available !

*********************************************
This is probably one of the most elaborate decoupage jobbies I have done using a digi stamp. As soon as I first saw this image I could picture the different layers I could create adding a lot of depth to the card.

I started with a sheet of brown A4 card as my base. Printed off some brick patterned paper, a freebie from Kinley Scraps which is still available here

The Christmas Window image was printed many times, layers as follows:-

Bottom (layer 1) - Window frame on patterned paper (for wallpaper) stuck to a
card base covered with brick paper.

Layer 2 - Window frame and tree only (with glittered star & baubles)

Layer 3 - Window frame and Curtains

Layer 4 - Window Frame & Robin (with puffy paint snowdrifts)

Layer 5 - Window ledge and Robin

Layer 6 - Robin

All layers are stuck together with a thin dimensional foam so even though there
are so many layers it is only 2cm thick. There is a close up below which shows the layers better. In hindsight it may have been better to use a thicker foam to see the layers better but I didn’t want to make it too thick and heavy so opted for the thinner version.

I am really chuffed I was able to pull this idea off. It was fiddly to cut out
at times, I had to be very careful not to rip the window panes but it has come out so
well I amaze myself sometimes.

I hope you will pop over to the blog to see the lovely creation on there from my DT Team mate Emma and we look forward to seeing your entries in for our Challenge.

I'll see you again next time with another lovely Daisy Doodles design.

Materials Used in this card are as follows:-
Digi Paper – Roger Rabbit by Kinley Scraps
Designer Paper – Back to Basics Christmas by Dovecraft
Embellishments – Stickles glitter glue, Woodware applique puffy snow, sentiment from stash
Tools - Letraset Promarkers & Flexmarkers, 3d tonnes of foam tape
Techniques – Decoupage

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges (in Alphabetical Order):-

She was really sweet to post a link to my blog. It was my honour to include her in the showcase just as I felt it was my obligation to write about Jessica's situation. I'm so glad you were able to help her out. Thank you so much for the very sweet comment you left on my post and for becoming a follower. I really appreciate your interest in my blog.
