Well for this challenge I just had to use butterflies didn’t I? I used this gorgeous image called Flowerlicious by Stitchy Stamps adding a second layer for the flutterby soit’s wings could flap of course J  I coloured the image with Promarkers & Flexmarkers adding some glossy accents and a gem to the poppy centre and lots of stickles glitter glue to the butterfly. I die cut the image with a Nestabilities die and distressed the edges with an inkpad.

The backing paper is from DCWV Mariposa stack. I adore black and red and this is one of the prettiest papers with the swirls on it. The gorgeous lace trim has roses woven in it and is by Prima.

The sentiment is a freebie from Vibgyor Krafts and has been die cut with a Quickutz Cookie Cutter Die.

For this challenge I chose this lovely image Birds in a Tree by Hope Jacare Doodles for both myself and Choccy to work with. I loved all the swirls in the tree trunk and I could see that the leaves could easily be gemstones and of course the little tweety birds peeking out from the branches are very cute J

I coloured the image with Promarkers & Flexmarkers and although this is a big card and the image is big it needed the fine tip on the Promarkers to keep inside the intricate lines of this design. I used a new X Cut die set to cut the image and I was lucky as it was only just big enough. I distressed the edges to soften it a little. I added lots of gems to the leaves and some Glossy Accents to the birdies.

The large 8” card is covered with papers from my favourite Autumn collection, Woodland Friends by Papermania. The sentiment was a freebie some time ago from Raindrop Echo Designs which has been coloured, cut with a Nestabilities die and distressed with a small ink pad.

To cover the join in the paper I used a fab ‘ribbon’ that I got from a haberdashery stall in a local market. It has four rows of faux gemstones and you can cut the webbing to make it as thin or thick as you like. I just love perusing these little stalls as you can find some wonderful bits and pieces for your cards J

To finish off I added some more buttons from my Boofle bag, some embossed stickers from Papermania and some small red gems which have been recycled from an old T shirt.

For this challenge I chose this gorgeous image Blue Tit on Rowan from Ike’s Art. It is so realistic looking. We are lucky to have blue tits coming in our garden, I love the little flash of colour as they hop about in the huge Bramley apple tree we have in our garden. I often just stand and watch them and feel very fortunate that even though I am living in the huge city of Birmingham I get these little happy snatches of nature in my own garden.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers being very careful to pick colours that they are in nature, adding shading to create depth to the feathers. I know there are many much more talented colourers than me out there in blogland but I am very happy with my shading on this one and feel I have been true the nature and hope I have done justice to this lovely image J I added some lines to the branch to create a bark effect, some white pen to the berries to create a highlight and lots of glitter to the snow and frost on the berries.

The papers are from a Papermania pack called Songbird. I wanted to pick out the yellowy green shade from the image and many of these papers are in lovely Autumn shades. The button is from a lovely Paprmania ‘Boofle’ bag which has oodles and oodles of buttons in browns, creams and peaches. I have oodles of buttons already but one can never have enough LOL

Well as the weather has definiteoly taken a much colder turn in the UK over the last week I am sure many of you will be easily inspired to make an Autumn themed project. What better excuse when it is cold than to huddle up in the warm and do some crafting?

I coloured my image in with Promarkers and Flexmarkers, adding lots of stickles glitter glue to the butterflies and pretty flowers.

I have used some glittered papers from Artoz which are brightly coloured and butterfly themed. The big glittery butterfly has been cut from one of the papers and I folded it’s wings and mounted the body with 3d foam.
