Daisy's Image Inspirations

Our challenges run fortnightly so on the off Wednesday the Designers will be creating with a specially selected digi from the Daisy Doodles Store which will be available at a fab price, and if you're lucky could even be free for a short time. For our inaugural image we are working with Poppy which is a fabulous image suitable for many occasions. In this case I have used it to make a birthday card for a very special lady. My Hubbies Grandma has just celebrated her 99^th birthday J

I have coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers adding shading and little black dots in the centre of the flower to make it more realistic and draw your eye to the centre. I cut the image out using a Nellie Snellen die and inked around the edges with a small black inkpad.

The card blank is scalloped and I used a patterned paper from a Diary of an Edwardian Lady paper pad that came free with a magazine. I have to admit that I honestly didn’t think I would ever use them but this image goes so well with it. I added some distress inks with my stomping brushes as the white blank looked too stark against the paper. The sentiment has been recycled from a card.
