Daisy Doodles - Snow Happy

As our challenges at Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges are every fortnight on the 2^nd week we take the opportunity to make an extra project to showcase some of the fabulous Digis available from the store.

I had intended to make a post for this image on Christmas Day. Unfortunately due to an unexpected death in the family on Christmas Eve those plans went completely out of the window, but the benefit is that this is my 1^st Christmas card of 2013. Yay go me for being a likkle bit organised….. J

This gorgeous image is Snow Happy and is one of the newbies that were added to the store early December. It costs only $2 and you always get the files in JPG, PNG & TIFF so they really are fabulous value for money as I know many other designers offer only one or perhaps 2 for more than these cost.

I have used the current sketch #54 from Crafting Life’s Pieces for the layout. I had to adapt it a little as my 8” card had scalloped edges.

The image is coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers, a metallic red gel pen and some Stickles glitter glue for added twinkle. Each of the papers are from a different paper pack, I like to mix and match….. The gold strip is a Papermania self adhesive strip that I coloured gold with a Krylon pen. The self adhesive gems were a half price bargain at The Range. They were part of a Dovecraft Christmas line and were half price!!

The metallic ribbon was bought last year in my major haul I had from the market, I loved the yellowy gold shades and as it has a wire edge it holds the bow nicely. Finally the sentiment was recycled from an old card and matted onto a scrap of gold recycled from a perfume box.
