For this challenge I have used this lovely image called New Fairy by Ike’s Art. I remember a time not so long ago when I didn’t own any fairy digistamps and never really saw the appeal of them, oh my how things have changed J

I coloured the image with Promarkers keeping to a very simple colour palette and being especially careful with the shading on the naked flesh. I created a second layer for the wings so I could curl them and add a real sense of depth to the finished card. I used a Nestabilities die to cut the image and used a pale green loopy ribbon to thread through the die. I have seen this technique used on other cards but this is the first time I have done it myself and love how it gives an intricate frame around the image.

The paper is a fabulous magazine freebie by Raspberry Road. I really like how the pattern on the paper created a soft frame around the fairy. I have added some die cuts from my NEW FAVE die from Cheery Lynn. Since I had it last week I have used it on 3 projects so I apologise if you are getting fed up of seeing it…… I used some scraps of card from my box and added some sequin flowers, gems and pearls. The sentiment is from HOTP and I added a couple of recycled shirt buttons to cover the printed ones on the panel.

Last but not least, lots of twinkle in the form of a spray from Crafter’s Companion and some stickles glitter glue on the wing. I am embarrassed to admit I bought the spray at the NEC in November and it is the very 1^st time I have used it. It’s so pretty that I can assure you it won’t be the last time J
