The digi pack we were given this month
is Polar
Love which has a cute image and some lovely sentiments. I decided it was a
wintery theme and that it could work for a Christmas card if you used the right
paper with it.
The image is coloured with Promarkers
& Flexmarkers adding a glitter gel pen for the little hearts and some
glitter glue for the large one and for the snow.
The papers are DCWV for the background
and Papermania for the foreground. I used a sketch from The House That Stamps
built for the layout adding some gold lame ribbon. The sentiment has been cut
using a Spellbinders D’lite die, inked around the edges and a couple of self
adhesive gems to accent. Finally the gold snowflake is a laser cut shape that
was a magazine freebie from a couple of years ago. I coloured it with a gold
Krylon pen which I haven’t used for a long time and was surprised it had not
dried up…. go me for using up some old stash!
I am very late adding my card as both
myself and hubby are absolutely full of cold. The last few days have been a
constant barrage of coughing, sneezing, runny noses and feeling pretty lousy. I
really wanted to get in on time though so I can take part with March’s image
(OMG how did it get to be March already?)
If you don’t already participate in Kris’s
challenges you don’t know what you are missing. There will be a new one
starting tomorrow so why don’t you head on over there……
