CDAC PC#1 Round 6

Wow, it has gone so quickly….. it’s the 6th and final round of the first series of the  

Progressive Challenge at CDAC . Thanks to Priscilla and all the designers we have amassed a fantastic selection of digi for all occasions.

 Team A have the pleasure in bringing you some gorgeous samples for these images for this round. My card is using a Designed 2 Delight image called Winter  Bear. I love D2D images so was really pleased when I saw I had this little cutie to work with.

It is clearly open to your interpretation but to me he is a polar bear so I have coloured him accordingly. I used one of the very palest colours in the new Flexmarkers and he has the slighted yellowey tinge to him as when I see Polar bears on nature documentaries they are not really white are they? I have added a pale blue outline and some grey to the snow for shadows. Of course has a stripey wooly scarf on to keep him warm and liberal amounts of twinkly snow courtesy of stickles glitter glue.

The backing paper is part of an old gift bag that I have recycled. The white snowflakes are flocked onto the card, far too nice to throw away….I added some stickles to the centres of the snowflakes, some large Paperchase gems and the sentiment is a small tag to which I added a gem and some bakers twine.

Using a Fiskars punch I created a decorative strip and added a mirrored snowflake from Papermania which I bought for last year’s Christmas cards and they remained unopened. They have a lovely pattern etched into the and it was a shame not to use them. I just added a small blue gem to the centre to finish it off.
