Daisy Doodles Sanity Clause

As our challenges at DaisyDoodles Creative Challenges are every fortnight on the 2nd week we take the opportunity to make an extra project to showcase some of the fabulous Digis available from the store.
As I am still in the midst of frantically trying to get my Christmas cards made I chose the image Sanity Clause which is available as a single image for only $1 at  Daisy’s Digi Doodles store. Tis comes with a free stocking image too, what a bargain!

You can also opt to buy the completely chocolate free Daisy Doodles Selection Boxes, 4 images for $4 or all 12 images for $10. A with all images you get 3 different formats so you have a multitude of programs you can use them in and they are really fun images to work with.

I have used a sketch from The Sweet Stop for my layout. I coloured my image with Promarkers and added a second layer for the moustache and nose. There was also supposed to be a 3rd layer with just Santa’s nose but unfortunately it got lost somewhere on my desk and I have absolutely no idea where it went to.  I just KNOW I am not the first person that this has happened to……. Anyway I added some applique glue to the fur trim and bobble on his hat and Santa is now ready to hit the town red!

I have used a striped paper from a Forever Friends paper pad that came free with a magazine recently. The ribbon is from Dovecraft and has a bit of twinkle on it, love a bit of glitter on my Christmas cards. I have used a metallic red card for layering which was recycled from some packaging for some snowflake embellishments. The banner was made using a scrap of this card, a peel of sticker and a gold gel pen for faux stitches.

I hope you will pop over to the blog to see the lovely creations on there and please remember that you have another week to get your challenge entries in for our Anything Goes challenge.

I'll see you again next week with another lovely Daisy Doodles design.

Materials Used in this card are as follows:-
Card Size – A5
Patterned Paper – Forever Friends Freebie
Embellishments – Woodware Applique puffy paint, peel off sticker, Dovecraft ribbon
Tools - Letraset Promarkers & Flexmarkers, gold gel pen
Techniques – decoupage, faux stitches

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges (in Alphabetical Order):-
