I love working with the majority of the images from our store as there are so many designers, we are really quite spoiled for choice. I have to say thought that this is one of my most favourite images that I have used for this card. It is the gorgeous Waiting For Santa by Stitchy Stamps. There is just something so very sweet and innocent about the gorgeous little girl snuggled up in her special Christmas santa onesie with a gorgeous decorated tree, the pure simplicity of an image telling the story really appealed to me.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I used 2 different shades of green on the sofa to make it look weathered like a really old leather would be. I have used a gold gel pen on the upholstery tacks on the wooden frame and lots of Stickles glitter glue in gold and red on the tree. I have cut the image out and mounted onto 3d foam.

I have used a sketch from A Die For A Sketch for the layout and adapted it to fit an A5 card rather than square. I used a new set of dies Romantic Rectangles for the main element, I cut it from a small pattern paper so it looked like a wallpaper backdrop for the room where the scene could be from. I used a metallic rub on to define the edges of the shape and added 3 gem stars as per the sketch.

The papers are all snippets from the same pack of vintage paper and I used a sheet of sage green cardstock fro the base. The sentiment is from some small packs of die cut elements I bought from The Range last year.

So another Christmas card done and very definitely green, a win win on both scores if you ask me J
