CDAC Progressive Challenge #2

Woohoo! The 2nd part of the Progressive Challenge at CDAC has been revealed this morning and this is the DT card I made for my image, Mum & Her Sons by Ellephantastic. Team A have the pleasure in bringing you some gorgeous samples for these images for this round.

I love browns and blues as a colour scheme for more male orientated cards and chose to colour my image with these using my Promarkers knowing that I could incorporate the papers from Dovecraft. I used the Argyle pattern on the bottom so coloured the big brother's jumper to suit. I have used nestie dies to cut the image and sentiment which is a freebie from Raindrop Echo Designs. The quote is by Anthony Brandt but unfortunately I had to cut his name off the bottom as it didn't fit into the nestie frame.

All the papers are scraps from the Male Dovecraft pack which I have to say has been one of my most used 6" paper pads. All card used for matting is also scraps so Jules will be pleased with my entry into Jules Crafty Snippets :)

The added embellishments are large blue gems, a button threaded with bakers twine and the lovely felt flower from the local pound shop and sued ribbon to cover the join in the papers.

If you have taken part in the 1st challenge you will have received your 5 images to work with for this part. If however you didn't enter all is not lost. For the paltry sum of only $1 you can buy back into the challenge and you will receive the images.

The deadline to enter your cards is 14th September and then you will receive your images for part 3. For all details on this challenge, the rules and how it works
please pop over to this thread at the CDAC

Materials Used in this card are as follows:-

Card Size - A5

Paper - Dovecraft
Tools - 3D Foam & Scissors, Promarkers, Nestabilities Dies
Embellishments - Paperchase Gems, Papermania button, bakers twine, felt flower from Poundland, suede ribbon
