Cupcake Mouse Spinner

Well it's Thursday and I am back to my normal schedule of events, rush around like mad to get my Designed 2 Delight card made for the challenge :)

I feel like I have lost a day this week as we had a weekend away for the hot air balloon trip that never happened. They should have told us on Saturday night that it wasn't on and I kept phoning thus number all through the night, no cancellation message so I finally allowed myself to get excited at about 5am. When we got to the meeting point at 6am there were people who had been driving for over 3 hours to get there. We were all trying the 2 pone numbers and eventually there was a change of message at 6.15am. It is safe to say we were all pretty gutted.

Anyhoo, Paul and I were determined not to let it spoil things and still had a lovely weekend away.

It is a very good friend of ours birthday this weekend and I have to keep upping the bar with each card I make for them. (The pressure on us card makers eh?)

I had the good fortune in my DT comment duties to happen upon this fantastic spinner card from Dr Sonia S V who has a fab tutorial on her blog I made my card slightly different as I sandwiched all the mechanism inside by layering 2 sheets of cardstock together and making it into a self supporting tent card. I covered the front of the card with a lovely glittery cardstock from DCWV. The 2 circles are sandwiched together with 3d foam and there is a channel left in the middle to thread the stick through. The stick is a thick piece of wire which is covered with florists tape. I have recycled this from a crystal floral display tat I took apart and I knew it would come in handy so didn't throw it away :) It came in handy as I couldn't find my kebab sticks to save my life...... LOL

As I had completed all the challenges last month I got a fabulous set of images which included the boy mouse, the sentiment at the back of the spinner and also the birthday sentiment which I simply matted onto red cardstock. (both the paper and red cardstock are scraps:)

Materials Used in this card are as follows:-

Card Size -A5" tent card with spinner
Images & sentiments - Designed 2 Delight
Paper - DCWV
Tools - 3D Foam & Scissors, Promarkers, gel pens, Fiskars Shapecutter template
Techniques - Multi fold card

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges (in Alphabetical Order):-
