My card this week is using one of April's images, Stroll in the Rain by Reece's Scrap Pieces. After all the blooming ran we have been having in the UK lately it seemed rather fitting !!
I have stuck to a very simple colour scheme as I really wanted to give her red wellies. I always had red wellies when I was a child and apparently could be found quite often running around the neighbourhood in just my red wellies but that's another story........
I have coloured the image with Promarkers and added some glossy accents to the raindrops, buttons and flower centres. I used a sketch from Tuesday Morning sketches for the layout sticking to black and red for the main colours. The papers are from a HOTP classic pack. The main background paper looked like it had been splashed with rain. I added a punched border strip with a thin strip of striped paper to look like ribbon. The sentiment panel is also from this pack, raised on 3d foam. I have added a rub on from Pebbles Inc and a couple of tiny brads from Queen & Co (you remember those little make-up compacts we just HAD to have but never used.....)
