I made my card this week with a combo pack called In the Meadow We Can Build a Snowman from Reece’s Scrap Pieces which has the digi image, a coloured image and 5 different patterned papers in a blue and purple colour palette.

I selected the snowman paper and the marble blue one and then coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers to match. One of the papers has the repeating phrase on it so I isolated one to print out for the sentiment. I used a punch on the blue paper and matted the image on some scrap navy blue card and mounted with 3d foam. The sentiment has been cut with a Quickcutz die, mounted onto the dark blue and raised on foam pads. I used some stickles glitter glue on the snowflakes and snowdrifts and around the sentiment panel.

This is the last challenge for the year and we will be back again with challenge #94 on January 1st 2012 however, if you are up for it there will be a mini challenge on Christmas Day so you can pop on over and see us if you fancy a challenge after stuffing yourself full of lovely Christmas goodies.

Welcome to Craft Your Passion Challenges "Holiday Havoc 2011" Blog Hop!!
We are very excited about holidays and wanted to add to the chaos and havoc.
What better way to do that, than to have a BLOG HOP!!!

If you have hopped over from Karen then you are in the right place. If you just happened to stop by and would like to join our hop from the beginning, please go to Craft Your Passion Challenges and follow along for a chance to win some AMAZING blog candy along the way and PRIZES at the end.

All Craft Your Passion DT members are going to be playing along in the hop with some very special guest designers.

Each designer along the way is featuring a project that showcases a digital image from at least one of our amazing Blog Hop Sponsors.

What’s more exciting is you can participate too by creating a project and linking it up over at Craft Your Passion Challenges for a chance to win one of several prizes.
But, there’s a twist. Be sure to visit all the stops and leave a comment (we will be checking). Once you have finished the hop, we would like you to create a HOLIDAY project using at least one digital stamp and enter it with our Linky tool.

While you are hopping, be sure to check out the blog candy the designer's have to offer you. You don't want to miss out on any of it!

My Card was made using this fab image Meadow & Twigs Together from one of our sponsors Stretch n Bubbles

I have coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers in autumn colours. I used a Kraft cardstock base and this lovely acorn paper from a new range called Neighbourwood from Helz Cuppleditch by Trimcraft. The dark green and brown papers used for matting and layering are from Papermania

Let me introduce you to Snow Worries be Happy. This fun set comes with a separate image of the snowman and the sign in 3 different formats for only $2 from the Daisy Doodles Store

I have coloured the digi with Promarkers & Flexmarkers  and added some stickles glitter glue to the snowballs. The card is covered with a patterned paper which is a wrapping paper from Paperchase. The silver embossed panel was done with a Cuttlebug folder and the snowflake ribbon is by DCWV.

I have added lots of sparkly gems and a diecut snowflake which is a cut and emboss one from Cuttlebug and cut from Doodlebug flocked paper. I’m loving all the texture on this card J

Happy Birthday Paul

Yesterday it was my Hubby's birthday and I took him to see Grease the musical at the Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham. It was a fab evening and they put on a really great show full of energy and all the songs you know and love.

For his Birthday card I made a gatefold design and covered it with a lovely metallic cardstock from my DCWV Mariposa stack. The dancing couple image is a freebie from the Creative Mind of Sylvie coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. As I had ordered the tickets online and had to pick them up at the box office I couldn't 'give' them to him so I printed some tickets and added the relevant text to it, he was really surprised I was taking him out and had bought him 2 new shirts so he could take his pick of what he wanted to wear.

Of course, being a gatefold card it had a nice surprise inside too J

2 Tickets to Strictly Come Dancing live for January. We have both really got into it this season and enjoy watching it snuggled up together on the sofa. I am so lucky that he likes dancey things and can enjoy them without feeling he is 'not a man' or his manliness is under question and he was delighted with this gift too.

I used some more of the same paper for the inside of the card and the dancers image is from Digi Darla, again coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. The sentiment is one I made up and is completely true. I am so lucky that after more than 22 years I love him to bits and he still makes my tummy tipple over inside.......

Materials Used in this card are as follows:-
Card Size – A5 Gatefold
Paper – DCVW
Embellishments – Tickets by Dezinaworld
Tools – scissors, 3d foam, Promarkers, Flexmarkers

For my card this week I have used a fab image and sentiment pack from one of our new designers Digi Blessings. In the Snow Family pack you get a fab image of snow Mummy, Daddy and 2 babies and this lovely sentiment. It spoke to me as soon as I saw it J

I have made a larger card using an 8” square base. The image is coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers with some Sakura glitter pen added for a bit of twinkle.

I am proud to say that this whole card has been made with old items from my stash The image and sentiment have been matted on a dark blue scrap which was the inside of some packaging and then on some pale blue card. The patterned paper is an old one by Dovecraft and the silver card is a sheet of Dufex that I have had FOREVER!! The snowflake at the top is a 3d embellishment and I had to replace the foam as it had gone brittle, I can’t remember where that came from. The bottom snowflake is cut with a Quickutz die from glitter card and assembled with a brad. I have had these in my stash for at least 2 years
