Craft Your Passion Blog Hop

Welcome to Craft Your Passion Challenges "Holiday Havoc 2011" Blog Hop!!
We are very excited about holidays and wanted to add to the chaos and havoc.
What better way to do that, than to have a BLOG HOP!!!

If you have hopped over from Karen then you are in the right place. If you just happened to stop by and would like to join our hop from the beginning, please go to Craft Your Passion Challenges and follow along for a chance to win some AMAZING blog candy along the way and PRIZES at the end.

All Craft Your Passion DT members are going to be playing along in the hop with some very special guest designers.

Each designer along the way is featuring a project that showcases a digital image from at least one of our amazing Blog Hop Sponsors.

What’s more exciting is you can participate too by creating a project and linking it up over at Craft Your Passion Challenges for a chance to win one of several prizes.
But, there’s a twist. Be sure to visit all the stops and leave a comment (we will be checking). Once you have finished the hop, we would like you to create a HOLIDAY project using at least one digital stamp and enter it with our Linky tool.

While you are hopping, be sure to check out the blog candy the designer's have to offer you. You don't want to miss out on any of it!

My Card was made using this fab image Meadow & Twigs Together from one of our sponsors Stretch n Bubbles

I have coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers in autumn colours. I used a Kraft cardstock base and this lovely acorn paper from a new range called Neighbourwood from Helz Cuppleditch by Trimcraft. The dark green and brown papers used for matting and layering are from Papermania

Guest Designer at Shelly's Images

OOOh, I've got some really exciting news to tell you. This week I am a Guest Designer for Shelly's Images. Shelly recently asked for people to come forward and said yes straight away. Don't you love it when that happens :)

Anyhoo, this gorgeous image above is called Carrot Patch and can be purchased from the Shelly's Images store here. As soon as I saw the image it reminded me of Rabbit in The Winnie the Pooh stories as he was always tending to his garden, especially his carrots.

I have used the current sketch from Cards for Men for the layout. I am giving this to a good friend of ours who is retiring. He is been a gardener at a massive house for many years and his own garden is lovely. We'd have him do ours only he lives some 100 miles away. It is always a treat when we go for the weekend and he shows us what we are eating that came out of his garden.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and made a second layer with the seed packet to create dimension. The papers are from the Desert Blooms pad by Trimcraft. They have got 4 pads in their First Edition range and I have them all, they are such sweet designs and yummy colours :)

I have added Candi dots (why??? have they changed the name from Card Candy....it was a good name without changing it) a sentiment from Anita's and a cutie little rabbit pinching some of the carrots.

Thankyou so much to Shelly's Images for giving me this Guest Designer opportunity and please check out the creations that the Design Team have made with this image too on Shelly's Images Blog

CS Designs Twirly Heart

Over on the CDAC last weekend there was a magnificent Heart blog hop and loads of designers generously gave away a wonderful array of digis. This gorgeous heart is by CS Designs and is so pretty.

I Coloured the image in with Promarkers adding a darker colour to accent the swirls and lots of gems to add some sparkle.

The layout of the card is the current sketch from Wee Memories. I covered the base of the card with some new paper that I had by Trimcraft. It is a First Edition Pad called Love Letters and has got lots of lovely papers, some are embossed and glittered and some are double sided. The top paper has been punched courtesy of Martha Stewart. The more I use these punches the more I appreciate just how well they cut even quite intricate designs compared to a lot of the other makes of punches.

The gorgeous ribbon & lace trim is another fabulous find from Birmingham Rag Market last week. This one Asian lady did so many fabulous trims I spent £11.00 with her and she was gobsmacked I was going to use them for cards. This one was such a bargain at only 75p per metre. I tell you I could have spent a small fortune and really had to restrain myself....

The sentiment is from Doodle Pantry and has been cut using a Quickutz Cookie Cutter die, edged with a little ink pad and the heart embellishments are from Paperchase.
