For this project I used this great set from Digi Blessings called Tammy Tween Girls Rule which has 1 image and 3 sentiments, perfectly suited to a sassy teenage girl.

I bought a stationery set and decorated all the items using elements from the digi set. For the pencil tin I covered the top with the paper and used a sequin trim on the edges to add a bit of girly bling J Using colours from the paper I coloured the image and sentiments, cut them out and ran through my Xyron sticker maker.

The rubber I coverd with a srap of the paper and added a sentiment. I liked the duh as it seemed quite appropriate if you had made a mistake and needed to rub something out…..
I added the same sentiment to the pencil sharperner popping some more of the sequin trim around it. On the ruler I covered it with some more of the paper and added the ‘whatever’ sentiment to it, typical teenage wording!

It was my teamie Choccy’s turnto choose and image for us to work with and what a cutie we have for you this time. We have the gorgeous Daydream Girl by Gert at Digi Blessings and she is such a gorgeous little beauty. I am sure we all know a little girl who looks just like her.

In a very rare move for me I have used light pastel shades to colour the image using Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I have selected papers to match from the Spring Feast & Boho Chic First Edition pads by Dovecraft. There is a lovely assortment of papers, many with a subtle glitter sheen and I have added Stickles glitter glue to the centre of the flowers and the buzzy bee wings.

I have used a sketch from Craftings Life’s Pieces which has lots of intricate layers. Paper punches are Martha Stewart and I have done some distressing with scissors. I have purchased one of those paper scuffers but find for me that a pair of scissors works better….

I have added lots of Prima flowers, using one of the green ones to make leaves by simply cutting the petals apart. The centres are buttons, the textured ones were a fab bargain bag of vintage buttons that I got from a visit to a National Trust property when they had a fair on. The stick pin decoration I made from a pearl headed pin with beads and a butterfly from a bead decoration that I dismantled. The fluttery butterfly is a clear Papermania sticker placed on paper and cut out. I have just stuck it down in the middle and curled the wings. The sentiment was cut using a Marianne die as a template.

For my card this week I have used a fab image and sentiment pack from one of our new designers Digi Blessings. In the Snow Family pack you get a fab image of snow Mummy, Daddy and 2 babies and this lovely sentiment. It spoke to me as soon as I saw it J

I have made a larger card using an 8” square base. The image is coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers with some Sakura glitter pen added for a bit of twinkle.

I am proud to say that this whole card has been made with old items from my stash The image and sentiment have been matted on a dark blue scrap which was the inside of some packaging and then on some pale blue card. The patterned paper is an old one by Dovecraft and the silver card is a sheet of Dufex that I have had FOREVER!! The snowflake at the top is a 3d embellishment and I had to replace the foam as it had gone brittle, I can’t remember where that came from. The bottom snowflake is cut with a Quickutz die from glitter card and assembled with a brad. I have had these in my stash for at least 2 years
