OSAAT - DWA Sponsor

There's a new challenge today at One Stitch At A Time and we are sponsored by

I was very fortunate to be able to work with a great image called Gretta Gobble from our sponsor. I just really like how completely unimpressed she is about her circumstances and was inspired to make up an irreverent sentiment. This is unusual for me, I think Marlene is rubbing off on me J LOL

The image is coloured with my beloved Promarkers and I added some crystal effects to the eyes. I matted the image on a brown spotty paper from the Woodland Friends paper pack and used a piece of the leaf one at the other side of the card. I cut the sentiment in a pennant banner style and matter it onto a scrap of brown card. This is raised on 3d foam. I used a brand new swirl die from Crea adding some stickles glitter glue, some prima flowers and a gem from my stash to finish off.

Please pop over to OSAAT to see the fab cards from my colleagues on the DT and I hope we will see lots of entries and your favourites.

Materials Used in this card are as follows:-
Card Size – A6
Image – Gretta Gobble by Digi’s With Attitude
Paper – Snippets of Woodland Friends by Papermania
Embellishments – paper flowers, gem, bakers twine, crystal effects, stickles glitter glue
Tools – scissors, 3d foam, Promarkers, Crea swirls die
Techniques – die cutting

Live Life Glamorously

This card was made using a Digi's With Attitude image called Prom Tween. I'd had it coloured for ages and she just just begging to be put on a card. The base is from a Kanban card kit that my MIL bought me for a birthday present from QVC a couple of years ago. I never make the cards up as they are intended, just use bits and pieces as I fancy to make other cards. It has this lovely black and white damask pattern on the front and back panels so is a bit posh really for me :)

The image has been coloured with Promarkers and matted onto red cardstock scraps. The sentiment is a freebie from TLC Creations and I have really gone to town with the gems on the tiara and also on the sentiment.

Now if you love your sentiments, and you love your freebies please head on over to TLC to become a follower. Paulette is one of the most generous people in blogland with her freebies but she is going through a rough time at the moment as she doesn't get many thank you's. For instance on just one post nearly 700 people downloaded it but only 50 said thankyou. That is just bloody appalling behaviour !! It upsets me to know that she is being taken advantage of so badly so goodness only knows how low it makes her feel.

If you take freebies from any site, please spare a few moments to say thanks. You may not be able to do it every post, afterall we all have busy lives etc but it will get to a point where these lovely freebies will dry up because designers will get fed up of people who just click and run.

Card Size - DL (letter size) Printed card by Kanban
Paper - none....OMG withdrawal symptoms LOL
Sentiment - TLC Creations
Embellishments - Star and round gems
Tools - 3D Foam & Scissors, Promarkers

OSAAT #72 - Digis With Attitude Sponsor

At One Stitch of a Time one of our sponsors this week by Digi's With Attitude who are offering a prize to one of our 2 lucky winners.

I was very fortunate to work with one of their digi designs, Beach Tween and she was such fun to colour. I used a colour scheme I wouldn't normally do which is purple and orange. I don't make Halloween cards and as this seems to be a traditional scheme for that season.

Using a sketch from My Time Made Easy for the layout I cut scraps of DCWV paper to size and used a toning linen textured paper for the matted layers. The spotty ribbon is from my stash. I made a flower ensemble with 2 Flora Doodle fabric flowers, an opened out bead cap and a gem brad from Papermania.

I couldn't find a matching sentiment in my stash, I wanted to use beach babe or something similar so in the end I made it up myself. I have included the wordart below in both JPG and PNG formats which you are most welcome to download. Just right click to enlarge it and save as on your computer.

If you do download it please let me know by leaving a comment and please link any cards you make with it back to me. **BORING BIT ** These are for personal use only and must not be sold, nor should you claim that you have made them.

OSAAT #59 Digis With Attitude Spot

Over at OSAAT this week one of our sponsors is Digis With Attitude and I am very fortunate to have been given one of their designs to work with.

The image is from the Tween's With Attitude range and is called Gift Giving Tween.

I have used a sketch from Midnight Madness for the layout of the card, opting to go for the more simple of the 2 options. The DP is a double sided paper from Papermania Woodland friend pad. I had already coloured the image beforehand with Promarkers and added a couple of layers on the bow of the package with 3D foam squares. I love the combination of purples and magenta so knew matching papers would not be a problem.

I backed the image with mirri card and used this to cut the architectural corners which are a Sizzlit die. Foe the ribbon I have layered 2 metallic ones over one another and then added a sentiment from my stash. For a finishing touch I have added a bit of bling and a couple of the waste pieces of the die to the corners of the image.

Please pop over to our challenge blog at One Stitch At A Time where the current challenge is a Father's Day or Sports theme. What better excuse to get your Father's Day card made early eh?
