Ice Skating Hoot

Another of my Christmas cards from my last minute cramming session.
I’d got 2 images from Pink Gem Designs already coloured up from a long while ago. This one is called Ice Skating Hoot. I’m not entirely sure if this should be an Owl or a Penguin but as you can see I have coloured it like a penguin with my Promarkers.

I have used scraps of cardstock for matting and the paper is an offcut of wrapping paper from Paperchase. I added a second layer to the scarf and decoupaged with 3d foam.

The snowflakes on the image have been glittered using Stickles glitter glue and I use loads on the pom pom and fur trim on the hat. I used some peel offs snowflakes on the base of the card. The sentiment is a digi from Jacquie’s Creative Word Art and I have chopped off the corners with my corner rounder punch.

Materials Used in this card are as follows:-

Card Size – A5
Paper – wrapping paper from Paperchase
Embellishments – peel off stickers, Stickles Glitter glue
Tools – 3d foam, Letraset Promarkers & Flexmarkers, Corner rounding punch

Daisy Doodles #44 Columbus Day

At Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges we have a new challenge today which in honour of Columbus Day has a theme of boats, beach related or just relaxing.
It all sounds pretty good to me J

*********************************************

Let me introduce you to just one of the fab images from the Summer Fun set. You get 10 images for the amazing price of only $6, it is exceptional value and and really useful set to have in your digi collection. Head ove to the Daisy Doodles Store to check out the images!

I coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers, creating a second layer for the top of the palm trees and the hammock. I cut into the leaves on the palms so I could layer them up on different depths of foam pads, it makes it really textured and tactile.

All the papers and glittered stickers are from DCWV and have been laid onto the card following the latest card sketch over at Midnight Madness sketches. I used blue card from my stash to mat the main image, create a punched border for the yellow hibiscus flowers and mat the Nestabilies die cut sentiment which is a freebie from Jacquie’s Creative Word Art.

I hope you will pop over to the blog to see the lovely creations on there from the rest of the DT and we look forward to seeing your entries in for our ‘Columbus Day’ challenge.

I'll see you again next week with another lovely Daisy Doodles design.

Back to School SST

I've coloured all the images from Part 2 of the Progressive Challenge at CDAC but unfortunately this is only the second card I have been able to make. With a bit of luck and a fair wind I may be able to get some more in before the closing time ......

This card is using the fab image Back to School from Sweet Stamping Treats. I have coloured the image using Promarkers in Primary colours and added papers which were freebies from a magazine. All the papers and cardstock are from scraps too so Jules will be happy :)

The Teacher word art is a Freebie from Jus' Buzzin @ Jacquie's. She is amazingly generous and there is a whole pack with different Back to School sentiments.

If you have taken part in the 1st challenge you will have received your 5 images to work with for this part. If however you didn't enter all is not lost. For the paltry sum of only $1 you can buy back into the challenge and you will receive the images.

The deadline to enter your cards is 14th September and then you will receive your images for part 3. For all details on this challenge, the rules and how it works
please pop over to this thread at the CDAC

Materials Used in this card are as follows:-
Card Size – A6
Paper – Misc Magazine Freebies (all scraps Jules!)
Sentiment - @ Jacquie's
