This week my card is using one for the 3 images from the Pallaria set by Beary Dust Designs. I shoes to use this one as the fairy is flying and that enabled me to use the perfect sentiment to go with it.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers adding lots of stickles glitter. I chose purples for my colour palette so that I could match it up with these pretty papers with flowers and butterflies on.

I used a sketch from The Sketchy Challenge for the layout, matting and layering with some purple and white card throughout. I used a Nellie Snellen die for the doily which protrudes from the corner. The sentiment is a freebie from Vibygor Krafts and has been cut using a Quickutz Cookie Cutter die. I used a Fiskars border punch and my Martha Stewart butterfly punch with lots of self adhesive gems for decoration. Finally I added some gems to the image and my purple fairy is complete.

I am still on a Christmas card making mission and this week I selected this cute image Bear n Stocking by Beary Dust Stamps to work with.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers using bright reds and greens. I selected bright papers from various Christmas packs by DCWV and Papermania and used a sketch from A Die for a Sketch for the layout, rotating it to fit my image. I used a labels die from Nestabilies to cut a mat and frame and mounted on thin 3d foam pads. The image was then mounted on 5mm thick ones.

Well they said in the week that it was going to be 18C today, sunny and T-shirt weather. Currently it is raining and extremely windy so I guess they got it wrong…..There is still piles of snow from 2 weeks ago in places by us so I could still build a snowman. Doesn’t seem quite so odd to be making Christmas cards then does it?

It was Choccy’s turn to choose an image for us to use and we have this fabulous image Alice from Beary Dust Stamps. She is such a sweet image and lovely to work with.

I coloured the image using Promarkers & Flexmarkers and kept to a palette of blue & white with colouring for hair and skin only. I used a Nestabilities die to cut the image out and the darker blue mat to layer it on.

The main background paper is from Creative Cardmaking magazine. They have a lovely selection of Christmas papers by Kanban and I thought it looked lovely with this image and not at all Cristmassy. Just goes to show just because it is part of a Christmas collection doesn’t necessarily dictate how it HAS to be used……

I used a scrap of wedgewood blue card to layer the image on and it looked so plain, it was already stick down so I was limited with my options until I spied some white rub ons that I had won as a challenge prize. I am pleased with the effect and I think it has made it a much prettier card. The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.

For this challenge I chose Hot Chocolate from Beary Dust Stamps. I could see the potential for layering the image and also that’s another Christmas card made J

I coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers keeping to a simple colour palette of blues and browns. I added 2 decoupage layers for the bear and then the bear’s head and hat. I added some lines with a fine nib to the biscuits, lots of glitter glue to the trim and pom-pom, some black gems to the eyes and puffy applique glue to cream running around the side of the cup. The image was cut out using a Nestabilities die.

The card front is covered with a snowflake paper from Crafter’s Companion, I used a corner rounder to trim the edges and a small ink pad to distress the edges of the card and image layer. The sentiment is a freebie from Bizzy Becs that you can download from here

Well as I woke up to our 1st thick frost of the season this morning and both myself and hubby are full of cold wrapping up warm with a nice mug of Hot Chocolate seems like a good idea to me J

It was Choccy’s turn to choose an image from Beary Dust Stamps and she chose the beautiful Belle to play with.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers keeping the colours to a very simple pallete of flesh tones, bright green and brown. I must admit green is not a colour I have used very much before but it is definitely growing on me more J

I used some new papers called Happier from My Minds Eye. I really liked the green paper as it is so cheerful with the little flowers, ladybirds & butterflies. I matted it onto the green cardbase and used the reverse orange paper strip that was left over and punched with a Fiskars border punch. The image has been diecut with a Nestabilities die abd the sentiment has used a smaller size. The small butterfly that Belle is looking at has been cut from the backing paper and I added some small gems. The other butterflies are tiny glittered stickers. To finish off I added an assortment of flowers and a big gem centre.
