Pail of Flowers

Faith at Designed 2 Delight has started off May with a lovely digi which was begging to be coloured. I am big into my oranges, reds and yellows at the moment, must be all the good weather we have been having recently :) I was gutted to have missed out on the last week of the challenge in April so will be doing my very best to complete them all this month. Faith's designs are so lovely you don't want to miss out on them and I can see why there are so many participants every week......

I used a sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday for the layout. I have been following this blog for ages yet this is the first time I have used one of their sketches, weird eh? The card is an 8" square scalloped edge and I was able to print the design quite large. The image is of course coloured with my Promarkers, I almost can't make a card without using them these days :)

All the papers are from My Minds Eye Bloom & Grow pack. It was my 1st MME purchase and is still my favourite. One of the UK cardmaking magazines had a calendar in it for 2011 which had a pull out section of smaller print papers and embellishments. The ribbon trim, flower and leaves are all from this pack. I have inked the edges of the papers to add definition between the layers. I have added a flower shaped brad and a Papermania glitter dot to the centre and 3 gems from Paperchase in the centre of the top 3 flowers on the 'ribbon' which are luckily just in the right place to marry up with the sketch. In the words of the immortal A Team, Don't you love it when a plan comes together!
