It was my turn to choose and image for Choccy and myself to use and in celebration of Spring it just had to be daffodils. I really do like the floral images that Floppy Latte does and this Floral Frame 7 is a fabulous example of her attention to detail that makes her floral designs so realist and a pleasure to work with.

I selected a word art from Diana at All About Me. She is so very generous with her digi kits and offers many word arts for free. This one is from Pink Spring and is available here. I coloured the image in Promarkers and Flexmarkers and cut it out using my super sharp Fiskars embroidery scissors. The blades are so precise and completely necessary for such detailed designs as this.

I used a sketch from Sketchy Challenges for the layout. The base designer paper is from Basic Grey. The doily is a die cut which has been inked with a brown distress pad to knock the edges back. The orange strip has been trimmed with a Martha Stewart punch. Finally a gold glittery butterfly has been added which was a purchase from Hobbycraft a good 3 years ago.

Please pop over to OSAAT to see the fab cards from my colleagues on the DT. I look forward to seeing your entries for this challenge

Paper – Hello Luscious by Basic Grey & Birdsong by Papermania
